Concept & Design:
Thinking together, creating together

Thinking out loud allowed (mostly)

Nine designers, each at a desk crafted in our own workshop. Sometimes there's a productive silence, everyone absorbed in their work. Then the room fills with life: Conversations with clients, coordination with site managers, and above all, the constant exchange between colleagues. This is where exhibition stands, showrooms, workspaces and interior designs take shape. No one works in isolation. Ideas are shared, debated and developed together.

Marketing and sales are part of this space too, because direct communication and short distances matter more than prestigious corner offices. Projects don't emerge in silos here; they grow from dialogue across all disciplines.

Every project has a dedicated design lead who takes responsibility from start to finish. At the same time, no one is confined to a single format. This variety broadens perspectives and ensures that ideas from exhibition design enrich interior projects and vice versa.

Some thrive on the rhythm of trade fair projects with their short cycles and quick decisions. Others find their strength in the depth of long-term interior work, where details can evolve over months. What emerges is more than a finished project. It's experience that flows into every task that follows.

From mind to paper: The concept and design phase

01

The tandem

Every project is led by a duo from day one: One designer, one site manager. Both serve as direct contacts for the client and know the project inside out, from the initial idea through to aftercare. This means short communication lines, fast decisions and, above all, continuity. Even after completion, the tandem remains available for adjustments, questions or a joint debriefing to reflect on what worked and what insights can be carried forward.
02

The idea

During the concept phase, strategic foundations are established and initial ideas take shape. Designs are developed digitally in 3D software, allowing spaces to be explored virtually and spatial effects to be assessed early on. At the same time, there's hands-on work happening in parallel. Material samples cover the desks, finishes are compared side by side, surfaces are touched. This physical engagement is essential for truly understanding texture and impact rather than just guessing at them on screen.
03

The checkpoint

Once a design is ready, the client reviews it, provides feedback, and adjustments are made. At the same time, an initial cost estimate is prepared based on specific material quantities, labour requirements and current market prices. The direct exchange between design and site management ensures that creative vision and budget go hand in hand from the start.
04

The dialogue

As implementation approaches, the exchange between design and workshop intensifies. This is when designs are discussed in detail, technical drawings are created, constructions are tested for feasibility and solutions are developed that work both aesthetically and practically. This dialogue isn't about rubber-stamping decisions. It's about thinking things through together. Often the best ideas emerge here, because both sides contribute their expertise. What was conceived on screen gets questioned, refined and sometimes even improved in the workshop.

Our creative minds

Nine different backgrounds, nine different perspectives. Some of our designers completed a craft apprenticeship before pursuing studies in interior architecture, architecture or design, while others came straight from university. And then there are those who combine both worlds: Craftspeople at heart, designers in mind.

These diverse backgrounds allow us to approach projects from multiple angles: With a focus on sustainability, on technical challenges, with a fully developed concept as a foundation or the courage to discover the idea along the way.

As different as these paths may be, one thing unites everyone: A passion for spaces that bring people together, enable exchange and create genuine connection. An attitude the design team doesn't just demonstrate in projects, but lives every day with one another.
