A paradigm shift, the creation of new opportunities for connection, authentic product tastings – all of these reasons inspired our long-standing client Hopsteiner, one of the world's largest trading houses with its own hop farms and processing facilities, to realise a tasting extension to an existing warehouse at their headquarters in Mainburg.

Atelier Seitz was responsible for designing both the building envelope and the interior concept. From the outside, the project captivates through the contrast between the warm timber-slat façade and the cool appearance of the warehouse. The elevated construction was not only necessary due to local conditions but also lends the extension a floating elegance in design terms.

Inside, minimalist forms, clean lines, and a refined light-dark contrast combined with high-quality materials create the perfect stage for hop evaluation, beer tastings, and inspiring social gatherings. The extension now serves multiple purposes: From client events to internal company meetings, this aesthetically appealing and thoughtfully designed space fills everyday life with a sense of wellbeing. Atelier Seitz has not merely created rooms, but an atmosphere that elevates the Hopsteiner experience to a new level.
