For WAC Group, Atelier Seitz realized a presence at Light + Building 2026 in Frankfurt – the world's leading trade fair for lighting and building services technology. It was the company’s very first appearance on an international trade fair stage, and our concept was designed to reflect exactly that: a debut moment worth remembering. The fair also marked the official launch of WAC Architectural, a new specification-grade brand created for architects, lighting designers, and engineers, delivering precision lighting solutions that integrate seamlessly into architecture.
The design brings together four brands (WAC Lighting, WAC Architectural, Modern Forms, and Schonbek) under a single spatial narrative, structured into clearly differentiated zones, each speaking its own atmospheric language:
Red Lounge Room: A fully monochromatic interior drenched in red, where black chandeliers serve as a dramatic counterpoint – a staging that pushes the decorative power of light to its extreme.
New York-Inspired Bar Area: A checkerboard floor, warm cognac tones, and a large-scale cityscape backdrop – the zone references the urban energy of New York, where the group's quality standards were forged.
Green Brand World / Exterior Zone: A landscaped entrance with a paved pathway and precisely placed outdoor fixtures makes architectural lighting solutions tangible in a real-world context.
Schonbek Showcase: Natural stone, walnut veneer, and carefully calibrated light create an ambiance that blurs the line between trade fair and interior design. Crystal luminaires are presented here as curated objects in their own right.
The spatial concept follows the claim "Technology Illuminated": light is not merely displayed here, but experienced. Visitors move through a choreographed sequence of rooms showcasing architectural, decorative, and exterior lighting solutions in authentic application contexts – revealing the full breadth of a group that consistently unites design and technology.
